Common Loon: This species was reported in two blocks. A single bird was seen from June 9 through August. 9, 1987 at the Trenton Municipal Watershed, Grundy County, in northwest Missouri. A late individual in winter plumage was seen on Lake Thunderhead north of Unionville, Putnam County, on June 2, 1991.
Fulvous Whistling-Duck: A pair in breeding plumage was found in Pemiscot Bayou near Denton, Dunklin County, in southeast Missouri from June 30 until July 10, 1990.
Green-winged Teal: A drake was seen at Clarence Cannon National Wildlife Refuge July 1, 1988 near Annada, in Pike County.
American Wigeon: A drake was seen on June 1, 1987 in the Camden Bottoms on the Missouri River near Wellington in Ray County. The marsh habitat had dried up by July 15.
Redhead: A drake was seen at Caruthersville in Pemiscot County on June 5, 1988.
Ring-necked Duck: A pair was observed on a pond near Trenton in southeast Harrison County on June 9-10, 1990.
Lesser Scaup: This species was reported in two blocks. One individual was seen in breeding habitat on July 1, 1988 at Clarence Cannon National Wildlife Refuge near Annada in Pike County. The other was seen on June 1, 1991, but not in breeding habitat, on Lake Thunderhead north of Unionville in Putnam County.
Common Snipe: An individual was seen near Bronaugh in southwest Missouri in breeding habitat on May 27, 1992 in Vernon County. Other non-Atlas records suggest this species may have attempted to nest in Missouri, but no confirmation exists to date.
Franklin's Gull: An individual was seen near College Mound on June 19, 1988 in Macon County, but not in breeding habitat.
Olive-sided Flycatcher: This species was reported in seven blocks. (1) A bird was seen on May 27, 1986, but not in breeding habitat, in southwest Missouri near Sparta in Christian County. (2) A bird was seen, but not in breeding habitat, on July 9, 1987 in a valley where a small stream flows into Lake Pomme de Terre in Hickory County. (3) A bird was seen on July 11, 1987, but not in breeding habitat, along Crane Creek in Hickory County about 5.5 miles from where this species was seen near Lake Pomme de Terre. (4) A bird was seen holding territory for a month around June 22, 1989 southeast of Higginsville in Lafayette County. (5) A bird was seen on June 1, 1990 in breeding habitat west of Smallett in Douglas County. (6) A bird was seen on June 3, 1990, but not in breeding habitat, directly north of Reger on a graded road in Sullivan County. (7) A bird was seen on June 5, 1992 in breeding habitat west of Deepwater in Henry County.
Hermit Thrush: A bird was seen in breeding habitat on July 2, 1992 near Freeburg in Osage County.
Black-throated Green Warbler: A bird was seen in breeding habitat on June 13, 1992 near Saline Creek southwest of Larrabee in Audrain County. Other non-Atlas records in Missouri plus confirmed breeding at several sites in Arkansas indicate a strong potential for this species to be a breeder in small numbers.
Bay-breasted Warbler: A pair was seen on July 9, 1987 north of Redford in Reynolds County.
White-throated Sparrow: This species was reported in two blocks. A bird was heard on June 17, 1989, but not in breeding habitat, west of Stanton in Franklin County. Three individuals were seen on May 27, 1986 in breeding habitat south of Raymondville in Texas County.
