The shiny green killer scientists found at Wappapello Lake on July 23 probably arrived in out-of-state firewood. Emerald ash borer, a metallic-green, non-native beetle, has destroyed more than 50 million Midwestern ash trees since the 1990s. Protect Missouri's ash trees. Don't move firewood and report EAB sightings.
